Ms. Bauer is a regulatory attorney with an emphasis on water, land use, real estate development, alcohol licensing, and environmental law.   She has extensive experience in several administrative and litigation fields including federal and state regulatory compliance, water rights, hazardous waste, natural resources permitting and disputes, public lands, environmental due diligence and cleanups, real property transfers, landlord-tenant matters, lease review, development approvals, and civil rights litigation. Ms. Bauer also serves as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association.

Ms. Bauer’s wide-ranging experience includes:

  • Assisting clients with all aspects of water rights matters in Utah including water rights applications, title updates, assisting water company’s with shareholder and business matters, water rights compliance and reporting, protests, administrative appeals, adjudication matters, and litigation.
  • Conducting environmental due diligence for clients acquiring property in Utah and across the Country.
  • Assisting commercial landlords with eviction and breach of contract litigation.
  • Representing local governments and private clients with review, analysis and litigation of federal projects under the National Environmental Policy Act.
  • Helping clients with eminent domain and regulatory takings matters.
  • Assisting clients with defense of administrative investigations brought by State and Federal governmental agencies under various federal, state and local regulations.
  • Representation of national and local bars, restaurants, hotels, hotel management companies, and alcohol manufacturers with licensing applications, compliance, violation negotiations, and labeling applications before the Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Services.
  • Assisting clients with environmental permitting applications and compliance

Ms. Bauer maintains an AV Preeminent (4.8) rating with Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest rating awarded to attorneys for professional competence and ethics, was selected for inclusion in Utah Business Magazine’s Legal Elite 2018 for Environmental Law, 2017 for Energy and Natural Resources Law, and Mountain States Super Lawyers as a Rising Star (2013-2016) in the category of Environmental Law.
